There is a growing number of people who, along with the usual
attractions of a Mediterranean holiday - the warm climate,
interesting cultural setting and pleasing local environment
- are seeking to spend their free time developing creative,
personal, interpersonal and professional skills, better health
and new levels of personal fulfilment.
On the edge of the village of Zarka (Zarakes to non-locals)
is a quiet valley set amongst the rolling and sometimes dramatic
landscape of the southern region of the Greek island of Evia
(Euboea in Greek). Here we have ten acres of hillside olive
grove, a restored traditional stone house, a large circular
meeting hall and a delightful swimming pool. This gentle rural
setting is the venue for a wide and exciting range of activities
which focus on the themes of health, creativity and the exploration
of self and environment.

Courses, seminars and professional trainings, varying in
length from two hours to two weeks, are complemented by times
when the facilities of the centre are available for more individual
and personal work. Course participants are usually accommodated
at the Centre itself or in properties in the old village and
our accommodation is also be available for rent on a self
catering basis for those who wish to design their own experience.
For those not wishing to take part in activities at the Centre,
the valley provides a perfect place for rest and retreat,
a form of sanctuary where visitors frequently comment on the
enhanced quality of their sleep and dreams, and their enjoyment
of the natural setting and its wildlife.
The theme of the centre is 'Health and Creativity'
. We believe that working with our individual health issues
and a range of creative media can become a journey of personal
fulfilment. Our events also promote investigation ofour relationships
with each other and the natural environment. This is a venue
where learning and the development of practical skills can
be enjoyably combined in a beautiful and relaxing environment.
The Centre, pool and all accommodation is available for leaders
wishing to bring their own group, for small seminars/conferences,
and for family or group celebrations. Please contact
