Dr Anne Marie Bostyn PhD

Anne Marie trained in psychology, social anthropology and adult education in the UK. She was a senior manager in Lifelong Learning at The University of Edinburgh, Scotland and is now a director of the Zarka Centre. She has over 20 years experience of developing and delivering a range of personal and career development courses within a variety of settings. The latter include local and central government in Scotland, the National Health Service, Schlumberger Ltd, The Gas and Electricity Consumer Council Scotland, the University of Edinburgh, Lancaster University, the Scottish Workers’ Educational Association, and HF Holidays Ltd. Anne Marie's work has been featured in various newspaper articles, and in a BBC Radio 4 series. She believes people learn best when they can relax and experiment with new ideas and techniques in a non-competitive atmosphere, in the company of others who have similar concerns and who can share the benefit of their experience.
